I'm on the hunt for a reliable corded jigsaw. I don't use it every day—more like in bursts, working hard for a month then not touching it for over a year. That's why I prefer a corded model over a battery one. Ever since the pandemic, I've noticed a drop in quality for many tools. I've been checking out brands like Bosch, Makita, and DeWalt, but I've come across some frustrating issues, like blades bending or breaking and cuts not being square. If anyone has suggestions for older models or specific brands that are worth looking into (I'm looking for a handle grip, not a barrel grip), I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

If you're considering Bosch, I highly recommend the Bosch 1587. It's been reliable for many users. The blades can be a bit tricky since they're proprietary, but it's a solid choice. Just a heads up, some of the newer models aren't as great—seems like they've taken a step back in quality recently. If you can find a used one, it might serve you well for years!
Big fan of Bosch too! They’ve always been a reliable choice for jigsaws. If you can find an older model, you're likely to get much better performance compared to some of the newer ones.
I've had great luck with the older Bosch models—especially the ones with the metal case. My first one lasted two decades in a pro setting until I dropped it! Definitely worth considering if you can find one.
Yeah, I agree! The Bosch 1590 is another good pick with a simpler blade change system. Just be prepared, these models have been out of production for over 15 years, but a well-kept used one is still a great investment.
