I'm in the market for a 12" sliding miter saw and I've seen Lowe's has a model 780 with a stand on sale for $589. Has anyone spotted better deals out there?

If you're open to getting the 779 model, it could be a good pick! You can buy it and add a laser later on instead of getting the 780. Just an idea to save some money!
You could check out the Hercules sliding miter saw from Harbor Freight. I was considering a Dewalt, but the price was a bit high. The Hercules is a solid alternative for shop use and it often goes on sale, which makes it a great deal. Plus, it comes with a shadow light! Definitely a good option to consider if you want to save some cash.
