I'm planning to build a wood kiln in my pole barn, measuring approximately 12 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 6 feet tall. I've come across information suggesting that standard dehumidifiers struggle with temperatures over 104°F and can fail due to the tannins from the wood. I'm looking for recommendations on a suitable dehumidifier to handle these conditions for this size kiln, along with an idea of the price range I should expect. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

For your kiln, you might not actually need a dehumidifier at all. The key is proper ventilation to ensure you have a fresh air supply that isn’t humid. Consider setting up fans to circulate the air around your kiln. That could help maintain the low humidity levels you're aiming for, around 6-8%. Just make sure the air coming in is dry!
But why not just go for a dehumidifier instead?

So basically just circulate air around it with a fan? Will that get it down to 6-8%?
