Hey everyone! I've been using Mitchum deodorant since I was 12, mainly for odor control. But now that I'm 16 and working outdoors in the blistering Florida heat, I've realized that my armpits get super sweaty and my shirts look soaked by the end of the day. It's also becoming an issue at school when I have to move around or when the AC isn't on. My mom makes me wear light-colored button-up shirts which only makes the sweat more noticeable. Can someone recommend a deodorant that not only keeps the smell away but also prevents the soaking pit stains?

You might be allergic to the aluminum in most antiperspirants. I had a similar problem, and switching to a regular deodorant like Speed Stick actually helped me sweat less and still stay fresh. It’s worth a shot if all else fails!
I did something similar! I switched to Arm and Hammer Essentials after realizing I’m sensitive to the aluminum salts. Works like a charm!
Have you tried asking your pharmacist about Dri-Sol? It’s stronger than the standard stuff you can buy at the store. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully for best results.
Dri-Sol is great! But if you overdo it, you might get a chemical burn, so start slow.
I agree! It can feel intense at first but once you get used to it, the results are worth it.
I’ve been using Dove Men+Care antiperspirant and it’s fantastic! It doesn’t leave pit stains on my shirts either. I also suggest wearing a cotton undershirt underneath your button-ups; it helps keep the sweat hidden and helps you feel cooler.
Good point about the undershirts! Applying the deodorant before bed helps a lot too, just like they suggest.
There’s a specific Dove product that says it protects against stains for 48 hours too. I've been using it and I sweat like crazy, but it really keeps me fresh!
Consider your clothing too! Moisture-wicking shirts help a lot, especially in that Florida heat. Plus, they’re designed to keep you cooler and help with sweat evaporation. Definitely check them out!
I've noticed that too! Fabrics that breathe really affect how much you sweat. Man, it makes a world of difference.
For sure! And don’t forget to trim your armpit hair. It helps the antiperspirant do its job better.
You might want to check out Certain Dri. It’s a strong antiperspirant that many people swear by. Just be aware that it can irritate your skin if you use too much. I usually apply it in the evening after a shower for best results!
Yeah, I’ve tried Certain Dri. It works really well but can sting a little. Just make sure you don’t put it on straight after shaving!
Totally agree! I’ve had great luck with the roll-on version as well. Just avoid the spray if you have sensitive skin.

That makes sense! I actually stopped using antiperspirants and now I only use a natural deodorant, which helps too.
