I'm tackling a big dust problem in my basement at an old building that's over 100 years old. I've tried using a yard blower to blow out the dust but ended up setting off the smoke alarms (don't worry, I was wearing my PPE!). I'm looking for a better solution that can vacuum up all the dust efficiently. Ideally, I want something that passes the dust through water before it reaches my wet dry vac, as I'm worried about constantly changing the filter if I just use the wet dry vac alone. Any suggestions on the best way to handle this dust situation?

You might want to check out a dust separator like the one I found. It helps in collecting the dust before it gets to your wet dry vac, which can really save your filters. Here's a link to one that looks good! Just make sure it can handle fine dust, as that can be tricky.

Thanks! I saw those but I'm not sure if they'll manage very fine dust. I did come across a product specifically for drywall dust that might be more suitable.
