Best Electronics for Making a Sound-Playing Stuffed Animal?

Asked By CraftyPenguin42 On

I'm planning to create a stuffed animal that plays different sounds with just a single button. The idea is for it to randomly play one of the audio files stored inside. Has anyone found any suitable electronics for this? I'm open to suggestions for both the electronics themselves and any ideas about the stuffed animal. Thanks in advance!

Check out AliExpress! They have a ton of options that might suit your needs. Just remember to consider the power source and how you’ll charge it. You’ll be all set!

Thanks for the tip! I did find some sound modules, but none of them seem to have a random play mode.

You could use one of the Robertsonics boards. Sparkfun sells them now, like the Wav Trigger, which could work perfectly for your project.

Have you checked out the LilyPad electronics? They have some great kits that might fit your stuffed animal project pretty well.
