Best Flooring Options After a Basement Flood?

Asked By CoolCat123 On

Hey everyone! My finished basement recently flooded, and now I need to redo the flooring. I'm not keen on using laminate again since this isn't the first time it's flooded. I'm looking for durable options that can withstand water damage. If anyone has gone for cement flooring or has any experience with other materials in a similar situation, I'd love to hear what worked for you! Thanks in advance!

For your situation, epoxy, painted concrete, or tile could be great choices. It really depends on what you're planning to do with the space. If it gets a lot of traffic, make sure whatever you choose can handle that!

It's a finished basement and gets quite a bit of foot traffic because it's also a walkout. Since this was unexpected, I'm trying to find something durable and budget-friendly. My insurance is only covering about $5,000 since it was a sewage backup.
