Hey everyone! I live in an old house in Pittsburgh, and dealing with a damp basement is a real challenge. The finished area had this awful indoor/outdoor carpet before we switched to vinyl flooring, but it just hasn't held up against heavy foot traffic and my large dogs. I'm looking for flooring that can withstand high traffic and humidity without being cold like tile or stone. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You might want to consider Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP). It's durable, water-resistant, and can handle a lot of traffic without showing much wear. Plus, it feels warmer underfoot compared to tile!
Have you thought about epoxy flooring? It's tough and can be tailored to your design, but keep in mind it might be colder than other options since it sits on the cement.
Good point! Would it feel as cold as tile because of the concrete underneath?
Bamboo could be a great option! It's eco-friendly and quite durable, though you might want to check if it holds up against all that dog traffic.
Interesting! Do you think large dogs would be able to scratch it easily?

Thanks! How resistant is it to scratches from big dog claws?
