Best Flowers for a July Wedding in Zone 6a/b?

Hey everyone! I'm preparing for my wedding in July 2026 and would love to grow my own flowers to save some cash, but I'm totally new to gardening. I'm aiming for a vibrant display of colors during the event. I was thinking about growing peonies, poppies, and daisies, and I also found out about helenium as an option for zone 6. I have a few questions for you all:
1. Will these flowers bloom in time for mid-July?
2. Are there any other flowers you'd recommend for zone 6 that have a variety of sizes and colors? I'm also looking for some filler flowers similar to baby's breath.
3. When's the best time to start planting?
Any tips would be super helpful! Thanks!

Poppies might not be the best choice since they don’t last long as cut flowers, especially for a wedding. July can be tricky because many flowers start blooming around that time. Weather plays a big role too! You might want to consider zinnias and marigolds; they’re easy to grow and will bloom nicely during your wedding.
