Best Foam for Sealing Gaps Around Baseboard Heaters?

I've been dealing with some unwelcome guests in my home, likely mice, and it's driving me crazy! I can hear them scratching at the walls, and my small bedroom feels like the only safe space left. I noticed a few holes above my baseboard heaters and another in the corner. I really need to seal these gaps but I'm not sure what kind of foam is best for this job. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you’re really in a tough spot! Before trying to seal those holes, I recommend looking into traps or getting a pest control expert involved, especially since you might have some inside your walls. Generally, foam isn’t enough on its own because mice can chew through it. Consider using steel wool for the holes; it's a solid way to block entry points without worrying about them breaking through. Good luck!

I completely get how stressful this must be! I’ve heard folks have success using expanding foam, but it’s not always mouse-proof. Steel wool is a better bet for sealing those holes since it’s tough for them to chew through. In the meantime, keep using that peppermint oil—it might deter them a bit while you sort it out!
