I'm dealing with a serious grasshopper issue in my bucket garden on a tile patio, so no nearby plants or insects will be affected. Last year, these lubber grasshoppers wiped out my plants. I'm in Florida and need a solution that makes my vegetables safe to eat, whether it's natural or organic. I've got peppers, tomatoes, and beans growing, and I can't set up natural predators since they don't eat most of the invasive species. My potted flowers are in bad shape already, and I'm noticing caterpillar trails on my veggie starters. Ideally, I'm looking for something that acts quickly. I'm also open to using bug netting if it'll really protect my plants from pest damage.

While I get why you want a strong solution, let’s not forget that using harsh pesticides can really harm the environment and the critters outside your garden. If you're worried about pests, I still think netting your plants could be the best route to go.
I’d recommend trying Pyrethrins if the netting doesn’t do the trick. It's one of the few options I feel comfortable using that is also pet safe. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully!
Thanks for the tip!
If I remember correctly, Sevin is pretty effective against grasshoppers. Just keep in mind it’s not as eco-friendly, but it gets the job done fast if the situation is desperate.

I appreciate your perspective, but my plants need protection pronto!
