As the weather starts warming up, I've been spending more time in my garage doing chores while wearing shorts. I'm curious, what do you all wear for footwear when working in the shop? I'm considering getting a pair of Irish Setter boots and I've also been looking at Keens. I'm just trying to find something tough enough for my projects but still stylish enough for quick runs to the hardware store. Thanks for any ideas!

I've been using a pair of trainer-style safety shoes with a steel toe and puncture-proof sole. They're breathable, which is a big plus in the heat. You don't always have to go for full-on boots – there are great options out there without sacrificing safety!
I usually go for my Keen Targhee IIs for shop work, but if I'm doing less heavy lifting, I switch it up for my comfy Tevas. Honestly, I used to care a lot about looking goofy in my footwear; now, I just wear what feels good! Pipe down about looking like a goober – ain't nobody's business what shoes you wear to the hardware store!
If you're looking for something that looks good and gets the job done, I’d recommend the Moc Toe Carhartt Chukka Boots. They have a lightweight wedge sole and are pretty stylish too! You'll definitely look like you know your way around a project in those.

Totally agree! Just wear what works for you, and forget the judgment!
