I'm eyeing a new drill/driver combo kit for Father's Day, and Home Depot has a pretty sweet deal on the Dewalt Atomic kit. It comes with two batteries, a charger, and a bag for $249. However, there's an option to add a "free" tool of your choice, and I'm torn on which one to pick. Here are my options: the combo kit alone, or with options like a circular saw, grinder, reciprocating saw, a compact reciprocating saw, or an oscillating tool. What do you think is the best option or deal among these?

Honestly, I'd skip the bundle entirely. I've seen the Atomic combo kit go as low as $149 during holiday sales, and getting any of those add-ons is more like paying $100 on top of the $149 base price. I'd suggest looking for a better deal that includes either a more advanced drill or impact driver instead. The add-ons are mostly older brushed tools, and I don't think they're worth it right now. Just hold out for a good promo!
Wait, are you saying the Atomic series is brushed? I thought those were all brushless. Can you clarify?
I’d recommend going for the circular saw! It’s super handy for making a variety of cuts, so you won’t regret it. Just a great tool to have around for any DIY projects you might have.
If I were you, I'd pick the oscillating tool! They're really useful and perfect for the versatility of the 20V battery system. It's surprising how many different tasks you can tackle with one!

Thanks for the heads up! I guess I should explore other retailers. I have most of the add-on tools already but assumed the combo was a good option with the batteries.
