I'm currently using a half mask respirator (Trend Air Stealth Dust Mask) for my woodworking and construction projects, but I'm finding the filters get really expensive—about $18 for a set, which feels ridiculous. I'm considering switching to a full face mask instead. Does anyone have suggestions for more affordable filter options or a good full face respirator that accommodates a big beard? I'm worried that having a beard might complicate things.

Full face powered respirators are the way to go. They might be more expensive initially, but you won't be disappointed. Plus, the hassle of dealing with fit problems from your beard will be way less. And yeah, those replacement filter prices are ridiculous—like they know you’ll need them!
I've used the 3M Full Face Respirator and it works well even with a beard. It’s a bit pricey upfront, but the filters are relatively affordable. You might have to experiment a bit to find the right fit, but it should give you a better seal than a half mask. Just make sure to take care of your beard before putting it on to avoid it getting in the way. Check it out!
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look into the 3M model.

Totally agree! It's like buying printer ink—costs more than the printer itself!
