Best Glue Options for Attaching PVC to Wood?

Hey everyone! I'm currently building a slapaphone and I'm having some trouble with gluing PVC caps to the wood. I initially used Loctite All Purpose Adhesive Caulk, but after 30 minutes of clamping, it didn't hold up at all. I'm considering switching to 5-minute epoxy. Any suggestions? I need to glue 18 caps and only have 2 sets of clamps, so I'm kind of on a time crunch here. I also edited to say that after redoing the glue and clamping for 40 minutes, it holds, but I'm worried it might not be very durable in the long run.

Have you thought about just screwing the PVC caps to the wood instead? It might provide a stronger hold without relying solely on glue.

The PVC caps are too thin for screws, and I worry it might dampen the vibrations too much.

I think epoxy could really work for you, but my top choice would be melamine glue. It does a great job of bonding plastic to wood, so it might be your best bet for a strong hold.

You could try using West System G/Flex epoxy; it should do the trick! Just make sure to prep the PVC surface well by cleaning it with alcohol and maybe roughing it up a bit. Also, sanding the wood can't hurt.
