I'm looking for effective heating options for my basement workshop, which is about 325 square feet. This winter in the Northeast has been unusually cold, and the temperature in my workshop can drop to around 62°F, which feels much colder. I currently use a small space heater that runs on high continuously, but it's not doing a great job. I've tried several larger space heaters from Home Depot, but they haven't worked well either. The oil-filled radiator type I used was completely ineffective. I think these heaters should have clearer ratings, like indicating how much they can heat up a room in a set time frame. I'm also hesitant to use smaller butane heaters due to the presence of wood dust, and I'm wary of larger units with exposed heating elements. Can anyone suggest some reliable heating options?

I feel you on that! I'm in a garage in Ohio, and if I can get my space to 50°F, I call that a win! 62°F sounds like beach weather to me. But for real, maybe check your insulation and consider a more powerful heater—something like an in-wall forced air unit might do the trick.
I’ve got a workshop similar in size, and for me, layering up is the key. I just wear a long sleeve t-shirt that's snug enough to keep me warm. You might want to try some thermal wear! It's a simple fix that could make a big difference without dealing with bulky heating units.
Check out what I just picked up for my shop: an in-wall forced air heater. It heats up the room super fast! I went for the 1000w model; I can't speak for the higher wattage one, but it’s been working great for me. Here’s the link to the one I got – definitely worth a look!

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll look into it.
