Best Herbicide Methods for Controlling Vines in Flower Beds?

Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a pesky vine invasion in my flower beds. I've tried pulling them out multiple times, but they keep coming back, and managing them is quite challenging. I was curious if applying Roundup or a similar herbicide on a cotton ball directly to a cut stem would help kill the plant by traveling down the stem. I can't really spray around all the other plants, so I'm looking for ideas on how to effectively tackle this issue. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

A technique that might work is to manually pull the vines as they sprout, then use a sponge brush to apply Roundup on the last ones that show up late in the summer. This method weakens the roots by forcing the vines to keep growing and using up their stored energy, making the herbicide more effective when you do apply it.

That's a great strategy! Thanks a ton for the suggestion.

I wouldn't recommend Roundup; you should try Crossbow instead. It's known to be more effective against tough vines like ivy.

Will Crossbow travel down the stem as well?
