Best Lighting Options for Houseplants in a Home Office at Night?

I've got some houseplants in my home office that thrive during the day when I can keep the blinds open. However, as a night owl, I'm often working late on my computer. When I used to keep the ceiling light on at night, I noticed my plants weren't doing well since they seemed unable to get their rest. So I turned the lights off completely, and my plants have started looking better. But now, with just my computer monitor lighting up the room, it's tough on my eyes and makes it hard to do other things like reading or sketching in the evening. I'm looking for a lightbulb that can provide enough illumination for me without disturbing my plants at night. Any suggestions?

I had a similar issue, and I found a GE lightbulb at Walmart that has a switch for 'relax' and 'refresh' modes. It's been a game changer for us! We work late too and it doesn’t disrupt the plants’ sleep. Definitely worth checking out!

A simple solution is to get a dimmable lamp! You can control the brightness which helps to lessen the strain on your eyes while keeping the plants happy. Super versatile!

What if you could train your plants to adapt to your schedule? Some plants only need 3-4 hours of sunlight. Consider getting blackout curtains to keep things dark in the mornings and then open them in the afternoons. Just make sure your plants aren't getting light during your working hours. Also, have you thought about using a blue light filter on your computer? It really helps reduce eye strain! I use a free app called Dark Reader, and it makes a huge difference!

Unfortunately, for me, it does. Bedtime is around 7 am.
