Best Materials to Fill Raised Garden Beds?

I've noticed that my raised beds tend to sink every year, and they're mainly filled with compost. I'm curious about what others use to refill their raised beds? Is there a budget-friendly method to do this, or should I just keep adding more compost?

A great tip is to start with bulky organic material like branches and twigs in the bottom layer. You could also use unbleached cardboard or paper. This method helps create more aeration and drainage while gradually breaking down over time.

I use grass clippings! I hire someone to mow my lawn, and they bring me tons of clippings. I layer them under the soil in my raised beds to keep the soil warm. Plus, I mix some into my compost heaps or use them as mulch on borders.
