I'm looking for advice on cleaning the gutters of my two-story house. I can handle the first story with my ladder, but going higher than that makes me uneasy. I've heard about gutter cleaning attachments for hoses, but I'm not sure if they really work. Can anyone recommend effective options that can reach above a two-story window? Thanks!

You might want to consider a couple of options. The simplest way is to hire a professional—sure, it's not the cheapest route, but it saves you the hassle. If you're looking to do it yourself, a pressure washer attachment could work well, and I plan to try that this fall. Just don't waste your time with DIY kits for leaf blowers; they won't reach 20 feet no matter how many you buy. You could try using central vacuum tubing or foam core PVC if you're up for a bit of crafting!
If you're not comfortable on a high ladder, definitely consider hiring someone. It's a smart choice, and you can avoid any nasty spills! Plus, they can probably clean off more than just the gutters for you.
I made my own attachment for my shop vac using thin wall PVC, and it does the job pretty well! It's not as easy as using a leaf blower from the roof, but after several attempts, I decided that was a bit risky for me. If you're interested, there's a great video tutorial on it too!
