I'm struggling with grass growing in my gravel lots. I've tried using weed killer, but it just leaves behind dead grass, and the area looks messy. I worry about using a torch for fear of setting things on fire. Manually removing the grass with a hoe is an option, but I have a large property, and I'm not keen on doing that. Is there a gas-powered machine that could help till the topsoil without making the gravel look worse?

Don't sweat it! Dealing with dead grass in gravel isn't too hard. Before things get out of hand, you can mow it down or weed whack it first. Just make sure to soak the edges with water to help.
Definitely consider a power rake! It can help clear out the grass effectively and make your gravel look neater. Check it out [here](https://turfteq.com/landscaping-equipment/power-rake/).
To prevent the grass from taking over, start early in the season with pre-emergent sprays. Just follow up with post-emergent treatments throughout summer to keep it at bay.

Thanks for the tip! I'll look into that power rake!
