Best Methods for Removing Moss and Weeds from Tarmac

Hey everyone, I've got quite a bit of moss growing on my tarmac, and I've tried using distilled vinegar, but it hasn't worked very well. Can anyone suggest an effective compound to tackle this issue? Also, I've been dealing with a lot of weeds popping up around the edges of my property, between the tarmac and curbs. A couple of weeks ago, I sprayed glyphosate on them, and while I see some are starting to wither, many still look pretty healthy. How often should I be reapplying this, and what's the best interval? Thanks for any help!

Honestly, the best approach is to physically remove the moss and weeds by scraping them off and pulling them out. Chemicals aren’t always the best for the environment and sometimes don’t work as well as you'd hope. But if the tarmac is damaged, I understand needing to deal with it quickly.

I get that! My tarmac is getting damaged too, so I'm trying to stop any further growth while I can.

Sodium percarbonate works great for killing moss. It's a solid compound that you might want to give a try. Just make sure to follow the instructions for the best results!

Glyphosate is pretty strong stuff—use it only for significant weed problems since it's very potent. Remember, weeds will always come back, so don't be surprised if you see new ones appear after a while.
