Hey everyone, I've got a bit of a problem. One of my wood ceiling beams has gotten wet from a leak, and I'm worried about damage and mold. I'm looking for advice on what type of machine I should use to effectively dry it out. Any suggestions?

Good point about the time! You might need to try mixing the dehumidifier with some fans to increase air circulation. That can help speed things up a bit!

Just to add to that, the drying time can vary a lot depending on how long the leak has been going on. If the wood is fully saturated, it could take months to dry out completely. Stay vigilant for mold while you're at it!

The best bet would be to use a dehumidifier. It helps pull moisture from both the air and the wood, which is crucial to prevent mold. Also, keep an eye on it over time since drying can take a while, especially if it's really soaked through.
