Hey everyone! I recently got two bare root Nelly Moser Clematis plants and I'm hoping to train them to beautifully cover my garden fence. I'm curious—what kinds of supports or materials do you recommend for this?

Just garden twine tied to a trellis does the trick for me. It’s simple and effective, plus it blends in nicely with the plants themselves!
Chicken wire can be a lifesaver! I got a roll for just £10, and I’m using it for all my climbing plants. It’s easy to set up and really works for keeping them secure as they grow.
I love using old rope from cat scratching posts! Just staple it to the fence and weave the clematis around it. It works great and gives them something sturdy to cling to.

Sounds easy! I might give the twine a shot too.
