I've been exploring various off-grid battery options and noticed that a lot of them seem to come from China. I found Dakota as a potential U.S. manufacturer, but their products are quite pricey compared to others. Are there any other sources or brands for off-grid batteries that are worth considering?

I've had great experiences with Li Time products! I own a 100Ah battery from them, along with a charger and inverter. Everything works excellently, and the built-in battery management system is a great feature. I’m currently setting up a small system for my camper, and I'm impressed with the quality for the price.
I use Li Time batteries too, and they’ve been running smoothly for three years now. I use them daily without any issues, so I can vouch for their reliability!
Unfortunately, the U.S. doesn't produce LiFePO4 cells yet, so most components are sourced from China. However, Eg4 batteries have been popular as budget options, and while Ecoworthy offers cheaper alternatives, they miss out on some features that Eg4 includes.
If you're looking to save, consider building your own! You can find decent cells on Alibaba and get a case too. I run my entire house off two batteries that I built myself, taking advantage of low-cost power during the night and staying disconnected from the grid during the day.
