Best Office Plants for Low Light and Dry Conditions?

Asked By PlantLover42 On

I'm stuck in a corner at my office with no natural light and the AC running all day, which has me worried about humidity and plant health. I'm considering plants like snake plant, ZZ plant, and pothos, but I'm not a fan of succulents or cacti. Are there any other options that could thrive in these conditions?

Yeah, pothos are pretty resilient and can grow under office lights just fine— but make sure they’re bright enough. They've got some amazing growth potential, just check out this [huge pothos in an office](https://www.reddit.com/r/houseplants/comments/uo1sbp/insane_pothos_in_my_moms_office/)! And you’re right, most succulents and cacti wouldn’t do well at all in your space.

I totally get the concern about the light and humidity. That hydroponic system someone mentioned could be overkill, but it does look cool for growing herbs! If you want something more low-maintenance, focus on those pothos or even consider adding a peace lily for a bit of greenery. Just keep in mind that while they can thrive, they will need a bit of care here and there!

Snake plants, ZZ plants, and pothos are all great picks for your situation! They can survive in low light and handle the dry air pretty well. If you're interested, peace lilies might be another option; they’re okay with low light and appreciate a bit of humidity, though you'll need to mist them occasionally. Just skip the succulents and cacti since they really prefer sunlight to thrive.
