Hey everyone! I want to surprise my supervisor with a plant for her office. The challenge is her desk is pretty far from the only window in the room, and she doesn't come in often, so the overhead lights are usually off. I'm wondering if a ZZ plant would be a good choice, or if there's something better?

I have an office with zero windows, and I'm using a couple of grow lights. I’ve got pothos, a peace lily, and a ZZ plant, and they're all thriving! The grow lights really help, especially if you get ones with a timer to automate it.
I wouldn't recommend getting her a succulent, honestly. If you're looking for a solid option, a pothos would be a better choice. They do well in low light and can survive without constant attention, so she won’t have to worry about it too much.
Is a ZZ plant classified as a succulent?

Using house plants with grow lights is a fantastic idea, especially with an auto-timer!
