I'm diving into making epoxy tables after doing cabinet carpentry, and I've just finished sanding my first piece. I'm eager to get it to shine without just using a thin topcoat of epoxy. I've seen Blacktail Studio use hard wax oil and the N3 nano kit, but I want to skip the $180 N3 kit and the two-week wait for delivery. So I'm looking for good alternatives available at Home Depot or Amazon. Any recommendations?

You might want to oil the wood using a product like Rubio while taping off the epoxy areas. After that, you can buff the epoxy to a nice shine using the 3M system. I haven't tried this myself, but Black Forest Wood Company has some helpful videos on masking and polishing techniques that might be worth checking out.

I’ll look into it and see if it’s what I’m going for, I appreciate it!
