I recently picked up a decorative piece that looks like a mushroom, but I'm not quite sure if it's ceramic or stone. It's relatively heavy, and I want to paint it to resemble a brown toadstool with a shiny finish. Can anyone share their experiences or tips on the best paint to use for this kind of project?

For durability, I recommend using enamel paint. It's tough and perfect for outdoor projects too. First, paint your mushroom with the enamel, and once that's cured, apply a couple of coats of clear enamel for that shiny finish. I used this technique on a little Winnebago I painted, and it turned out great!

Thanks for the tip! How easy is it to blend the enamel paint? I've never used it before.
