I'm grooming my poodles at home and need some advice on painting the room. I have a setup where I blow dry them with a high-velocity dryer, so hair gets blasted everywhere and sticks to the walls. It's definitely a lot messier than typical rooms, and I want paint that can handle frequent cleanings and a bit of humidity. Should I use paint designed for kitchens or bathrooms, or can I stick with something similar to what I'd use in a bedroom?

For a room that gets a lot of cleaning, go for a glossier paint. The shinier the finish, the easier it will be to wipe down. An interior/exterior paint is a good option since it handles moisture better. Definitely steer clear of eggshell or flat finishes; a semi-gloss is your best bet for durability. Glossy can be intense, but it does the job!
I'd advise against those paint-and-primer combos; they tend to feel tacky for ages. Instead, go for two coats of a quality primer as a sealer, then follow up with two coats of semi-gloss paint. While cement board or special drywall is ideal, it might increase costs significantly unless you're planning to redo the walls separately.
