I'm working on end grain cutting boards and I'm a bit stuck on the order of operations after the first glue-up. Should I plane the board first and then cut it into strips, or cut it into strips before planing? I've been facing some issues with small gaps that resemble snipe at the ends of my boards. Also, if I decide to plane the glued board, should I use a jig to address any warp, or just run it through the planer and hope for the best?

Honestly, for end grain, planing isn't the way to go. A belt-fed drum sander works wonders instead! It avoids all those issues you're dealing with before you even start on the strips.
Got it, so I'm ditching the planer for end grain. But what about for long grain? I've got a router sled for that.
