I'm curious about how others manage battery storage and charging, especially in less-than-ideal environments. I have a barn in central Texas where temperatures range from 10°F to 110°F. I've always left my batteries on the chargers and they've held up well so far, but I just got some new batteries and chargers and I'm wondering if storing them in a temperature-controlled space makes a significant difference. How do you all handle storing and charging your batteries? Is it worth the inconvenience to keep them in a more stable environment?

Leaving batteries on the charger is generally okay, especially if the charge light isn't flashing, which means it's not actively charging. However, be cautious with FlexVolt batteries—they shouldn’t be left unused for long stretches. Their built-in battery management system only draws power from part of the cells, which can lead to imbalance over time. To keep them healthy, make sure to cycle through your FlexVolt batteries and keep them topped off at 100%.
