Hey everyone! I have a budget jump starter from Harbor Freight that I use for my cars, and I also have a couple of batteries set up specifically for jump-starting with permanent jumper cables attached. The problem is that most of my car batteries are located in the trunk (racing life, right?), and it gets really annoying to remove everything just to jump the car. Right now, I jump my project car using the alternator, but I'm looking for a better solution. I'm curious if there's a common connector that can handle the amperage needed for jump starting. I understand that the starting draw isn't super high, but I've been checking out the Anderson or XT series for permanent installation in the vehicles. What connectors would you recommend?

Anderson multipole connectors can handle up to 700A, which is more than enough for jumping a car. You can definitely trust them for your needs!
Many tow trucks use Anderson connectors for their jumper cables, so you're on the right track with this option!
For sure, Anderson connectors are a solid choice for this kind of setup!

I saw the SB350 connector listed for 600A. Do you think that’s enough? I only need it for jump-starting smaller V8s like a 6.0 LQ9, especially since the original battery should have some charge left.
