Best Replacement Drains to Avoid Clogging Issues?

I've got a pesky drain that keeps clogging up, and it looks like the drain stop is broken. I'm planning to replace everything above the P-trap and would love some recommendations for drains that are less prone to clogging. Any suggestions?

It's important to figure out what's causing the clogs in the first place. Are you dealing with toothpaste, soap scum, or hair? That buildup can really create issues. Make sure to clean the part under the sink where the sink stopper connects, then consider snaking the pipe. It sounds like your water might contribute to this too!

You're right about buildup contributing, but since the stopper is broken, I'm looking for something that can handle all that better! We have hard water, which I suspect is causing extra issues, especially since Drano hasn't been a permanent fix.

If you’re looking for replacements, consider a pop-up or a strainer drain. They tend to be easier to clean and can help reduce buildup. You may also want to check out some drain additives tailored for hard water problems to minimize future clogging.

Those sound like good options! I’m definitely willing to invest in a reliable solution that will make maintenance easier.
