Best Router Bit Kit for Beginners: Any Recommendations?

I'm new to woodworking and I'm planning to buy the DEWALT DCW600B 20V MAX XR COMPACT Metal Fixed Base Router. I'm looking for a router bit kit that's more budget-friendly than buying individual bits. I primarily want to make dado channels for things like aluminum track or LED strip lighting, which are typically 1/2" wide and 1/4" to 3/8" deep, especially into 3/4" maple plywood for bookshelves. I'm also considering a flush cut bit for edge banding instead of using the standard razor blade. I'd like advice on which kits are worthwhile or ones to avoid. I found a kit on Amazon that seems interesting, but I'm open to suggestions, particularly for those smaller projects or if you think I should invest a bit more for quality.

Yeah, it's great to have a variety to test out what works for you! I'm leaning towards picking up solid flush cut and straight bits soon. Someone mentioned a Bosch kit that's $110 for 30 pieces—sounds pricey but could be worth it if the quality is there.

I got a similar kit when I started, and it really helped me figure out what bits I actually needed. Just keep an eye on the bearings—those can be the weak point in cheaper kits. Replacing them with quality ones can extend the life of the bits.

Honestly, I'd just grab a cheap set to start and then swap out the bits as they wear out with higher quality ones. It’s a good way to figure out what you actually need without breaking the bank.
