Best Scented Plants for My Greenhouse?

Asked By GreenThumb987 On

I'm looking to enhance the atmosphere of my medium-sized greenhouse (16'x7'x7') where I spend a lot of time relaxing and hanging out with my bunnies. The temperature usually stays between 55°F and 70°F, and I'm really into strong scents! I'm curious to find out what strongly scented plants I could hang from the ceiling in planters to create a wonderful aroma inside. I want to achieve a 'natural aromatherapy' vibe, and I have a fan and heater system to keep the temperature stable.

You should definitely consider adding jasmine! It's super fragrant and really lovely. Plus, it does well in a greenhouse environment like yours!

Spearmint is another great option! It would thrive in your greenhouse and add a refreshing scent.

I have a mix of scented plants: jasmine, a few types of scented geraniums (like apple and clove), lemon verbena, heliotrope, and tuberose. All of these thrive in pots and should be really happy with the temperatures you mentioned!

That sounds awesome! I definitely want to try some of those varieties!

Gardenias are fantastic if you can get them to bloom. They have an amazing scent, but just make sure the timing and conditions are right for them to produce flowers in your area. You really only need one plant to enjoy their fragrance!

Rosemary is also a winner! Although I keep mine outside, it should do just fine in your greenhouse.
