Best Soil Mix for My New Anthurium Veitchii?

Hey everyone! I just got my first anthurium, a veitchii, and I'm realizing I might not know as much about soil as I thought. I've got some orchid bark, peat, perlite, a cactus soil mix, the Miracle-Gro indoor and tropical mix, and sphagnum moss on hand. Normally, I mix peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark in a 1:1:1 ratio, adding a bit of the tropical mix for my monsteras and philodendrons. I'd prefer not to buy anything else if I can help it, so I'm wondering how I can use what I already have for my anthurium. What proportions should I use? Do I need to add anything specific?

I grow all my anthuriums in the same chunky mix I use for my other tropical plants, honestly. Your current mix should work just fine for the veitchii! Just make sure it's well-draining, and you’ll be good to go!

Thanks a lot! I was unsure if they needed anything special.

Veitchii are pretty easy to care for, so they'll thrive in what you've got. Your existing mix should do the trick, so no need to stress about it!

Phew, I'm relieved! Glad I picked an easy one to start with.
