Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a nasty fungus gnat issue since I moved to a new apartment last September. Before the move, I repotted all my plants using Fox Farms Organic Ocean Mix, which I usually love. However, it seems the bag I used was infested right from the start because it arrived soaked. Now, after trying various remedies, my plants are still suffering and I'm thinking about re-potting again. I'm looking for suggestions on a good alternative soil to use this time. Would it be safe to stick with the same Fox Farms mix but maybe mix in some perlite and cover with sand or pebbles? I also plan on continuing with Neem Oil and using sticky traps. Do you think that will be enough to keep the gnats away from the new soil?

Honestly, just go for Gnatrol and you'll be set. Good soil does have some beneficial fungi, but remember, one female gnat can lay up to 500 eggs a day!
Just ordered some Gnatrol! I think the plan is to switch to fresh soil and then maintain everything with Gnatrol. I'd avoided it before, but I'm convinced now. Thanks a lot!
