Best Solutions for Agitating Clothes in a Bathtub?

Asked By SunnySky52 On

I'm looking for an effective way to clean my clothes in the bathtub since my apartment doesn't have a washer hookup and the community laundry is pretty unreliable. I need something that can agitate the clothes as well as a regular washing machine does. I've tried a strong fish tank water jet, but I'm not convinced it's doing the job. I saw some tiny USB ones online, but they don't seem powerful enough for my needs. Any ideas or suggestions?

Have you checked out these ultrasonic cleaning devices? They might fit the bill! But keep in mind, I believe they tend to be on the smaller side, similar to the USB ones you want to avoid. Just making sure you're looking at the right power if that's your thing!

Thanks, but yeah, that's exactly the type I was hoping to avoid since they are too small.

How much are you willing to invest? If your washer's out, maybe a portable tub washer could work? They can be a bit pricey, but worth it if you need something functional. Even some hand-crank models might do a decent job while not breaking the bank!

I can spend a good amount, since I really need something that works. Any models you recommend?

Honestly, if you're looking for something automatic to clean clothes, a proper washing machine would be the best. I get wanting to be creative, but sometimes sticking to the classic solutions is the way to go. But, if you're set on using your tub, try researching devices that operate within the 110V, 5-10 Amp range for sufficient agitation power!

I respect that opinion, but I believe there's room for new ideas here! I'm envisioning a stand-alone agitator that could stretch across my tub.
