I'm trying to figure out how to modify my Ikea wardrobe so it can fit snugly against the wall, thanks to this annoying plaster crown molding. I'm thinking of cutting a shape or maybe just the corner off the top back side of the wardrobe without having to completely take it apart. I'm leaning towards using an oscillating multi-tool but I'm unsure about the right kind of blade for the MDF material used in these wardrobes. I want to be careful not to damage the white veneer, as it seems like it might chip if I use a wood-cutting blade. Any suggestions?

If you're planning on leaving it there for a long time, I recommend cutting the crown molding to fit instead. It's much easier to work with than the Ikea materials, plus you'll have the option to keep the wardrobe moveable later.

Yeah, it's not permanent. I might go for a custom wardrobe in the future, but for now, I just need to solve the space issue!
