Best Trimmer Options for Mowing an Acre?

Hey everyone! I'm reaching out because I have an acre of land on a slope here in West Virginia, and I'm currently managing it with just my trusty Toro push mower. I'm a bit overwhelmed with the mowing grind, especially since I'm balancing a busy job and taking care of my two dogs. I'm working on establishing a routine to keep my lawn in shape, tackling it bit by bit. Right now, I'm looking to buy a weed trimmer to help with the edges around my house, garage, and trees. I'm a Lowe's rewards member and they have a sale on some tools. They're offering a Toro brand trimmer with a 60v battery at 50% off, and there's also a Craftsman trimmer and blower combo with a 20v battery for the same price. Given that I have an acre but only need to trim around the house, would a gas trimmer be more effective for my needs? I'm curious about battery options and how long I might need the battery to last since I've never used a trimmer on my property before. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
