I'm trying to get the most out of my M12 Circular Saw (gen 2) but it seems to struggle with cutting 15mm plywood, which was unexpected. I've had great success with my other M12 tools, but this saw has left me a bit disappointed. I'm considering whether a 5.0ah HO battery would make a noticeable difference, along with switching to a better blade like the Makita Blumak 24-tooth blade. What do you think?

I used my M12 Saw yesterday to cut some 19mm plywood with a Diablo 36-tooth finish blade, and it didn’t bog down at all! I was on a 2.5ah battery and got a really nice, clean cut. Just remember, you can’t force it through the material—let it do its thing, and it should perform well!
Yeah, you shouldn't run into problems if you allow the saw to cut at its own pace. You can’t just push it through like you might with bigger saws. I switched to the HO batteries and it definitely makes a difference, plus upgrading from the stock blade is a must since they're usually pretty low quality.
A 5.0ah battery will help, but you really need to take your time when using this saw. It’s best for framing cuts, especially with a lower toothed blade. Just don’t rush it and you should see some improvement!
