I'm starting a job that requires me to work outside in all kinds of weather, and I'm in need of a solid waterproof coat that can handle thorns and mud. Currently, I'm just using a budget option that I don't mind getting wrecked, but it's not holding up well against the rain. Any recommendations on good waterproof coats?

I do a lot of hiking and camping, so I've tested out quite a few jackets. I recommend checking out army surplus gear. It might be a bit heavy but is nearly indestructible. I recently got a navy storm jacket for around £40 that holds up well against the weather and tough conditions like thorns. Just make sure to keep an eye out for options that aren't just khaki!

That's a solid tip! I usually just wear a cotton work gilet over my old hoodies and head indoors when it starts raining.
