Best Way to Add a Tee Fitting to an Exposed 1 1/4″ PVC Pipe?

Hey everyone! I've got a 1 1/4" PVC pipe that was buried but I've managed to expose about 3 feet of it. I'm looking to install a Tee fitting on the pressurized supply side. I'm hesitant to use a snap-on saddle Tee since I'm worried it might not hold up well. Normally, I'd just glue a couple of elbows together, then slide more in, but I'm wondering if there's a more effective approach to connecting my Tee. Any thoughts? Thanks!

A slip fitting is definitely a solid choice here, but if you can't find one, try cutting the pipe down the middle (about 2.5 inches). You can pull one side up to slide the Tee on, then do the same with the other side. PVC is pretty flexible, especially with 3 feet exposed, so this should work. But I've gone a bit rogue before with 2" pipe and used four elbows—it saved me from digging a ton!

You could use a repair coupling for this! Just cut a bit more of the pipe, attach your Tee fitting, and then use that coupling to seal everything back up. They really help keep things neat and secure!

Thanks a bunch for the tip! Just checked it out: [Apollo Repair Coupling](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Apollo-1-1-4-in-x-1-1-4-in-PVC-Slide-Repair-Coupling-PVCC114SL/317901083).

Also, just so you know, these repair couplings are often called slip fittings. They can really simplify the process!
