Hey everyone! I'm dealing with an issue where rainwater from my neighbor's yard is seeping through our shared wooden fence and causing some flooding in my yard. Both our yards are pretty flat, and I'm considering two options: one is to build a barrier using a row of concrete blocks measuring 6x8x16, and the other is to construct a concrete wall that's about 12-14 inches high and 4 inches wide, spanning around 30 feet in length. For both options, I plan to have about 3-4 inches of footing in the soil to help manage groundwater. Any thoughts on which option might work better? I appreciate any advice! Here's a link to the setup I'm working with: [link](https://imgur.com/a/mR9CVIM)

Building a trench or a French drain along the fence might be a better solution. If you make the trench deeper as it moves away from the house, it can help divert the water away. Just make sure you're not directing water towards your other neighbor, or you could run into liability issues.
Just be cautious with how you handle water flow between properties. Changing the direction of water runoff can lead to legal trouble, so always check local regulations before you put up anything permanent.
