Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on how to properly transition my driveway to a drain box that's meant to redirect rainfall away from my house. There's about a half-inch gap I need to fill to get a smooth transition into the drain box. I noticed that the previous owner used a caulk that hasn't held up well, so I'm hoping for a more durable solution. Any tips would be appreciated!

One option you might consider is to raise the drain box a bit to align it with the driveway. That way, you won’t have to worry about the gap at all!
If the gap is between half an inch and two inches, you might want to use sand topping mix. For gaps less than half an inch, caulk could work just fine. Just make sure whatever you use looks good, since that’s a tricky spot, and think about potential erosion if you leave it exposed for too long!
