Best Way to Convert a 220V Outlet to 110V for a Gas Stove

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of swapping out my electric stove for a gas one, and I need some advice on converting my old 220V outlet to 110V. I've heard that using a step-down converter is a simple solution, but most converters seem designed for travel rather than permanent use. Is there a specific type of converter that would work better for this, or would it be smarter to just hire an electrician to handle this? Any tips or experiences would be super helpful. Thanks!

Converting the outlet can be pretty straightforward! You can just remove the two-pole breaker and replace it with a single-pole 15A breaker. Then, cap off the unused hot conductor at both ends or replace the whole wire with a 14-2 wire. Finally, swap your range receptacle for a standard 15A one. It's not too complicated if you're comfortable with a bit of DIY!

Just to check, is there anything else powered by that 220 circuit?
