Best Way to Fasten Decking to a Cinder Block Wall?

I'm trying to figure out how to securely fasten my decking to a cinder block wall using joist hangers. I've found some joist hangers online but I'm unsure what kind of anchors to use for this. Are 6mm cement screws sufficient, or should I be looking for something stronger?

To attach your decking properly, you'll want to start by securing a ledger board to the wall first. It's crucial because it helps distribute the load from the deck onto the wall. When drilling into the cinder block, use expansion bolts, ensuring they’re spaced properly based on the joists and building code requirements. According to the International Residential Code (IRC) Section R507, you should use at least 13mm expansion bolts spaced between 19" to 36" apart, following a staggered pattern with 2" clearance from the edge of the ledger.

I was just about to mention the ledger board! You've covered the important bits really well.
