Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out a simple and decent-looking way to attach a bird feeder to my 20-foot flag pole. I've looked into a commercial solution, but it seems too pricey and a bit excessive for what I need. I'm considering a pole clamp with a hook to hang the feeder at shoulder height. It seems like this should be a straightforward project, but I'm hitting a wall. Any suggestions?

I’d recommend using two large hose clamps to attach a traditional crook-style hook to your pole. You can loosen the clamps enough to open them wide, then use masking tape to keep the hook in position while you tighten the clamps. Once they're secure, just remove the tape, and you're all set!
You could use some hose clamps to secure a hook around the pole. Grab something like these [hose clamps](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-3-8-7-8-in-Stainless-Steel-Hose-Clamp-6760595/206261538?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&gStoreCode=6303&gQT=1) and a [hook](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Monarch-Abode-14-in-Black-Premium-Rust-Resistant-Iron-Plant-Hanger-Set-of-2-19147/314393720). Just clamp the hook onto the pole and you should be good!
Have you thought about just screwing the hook directly into the pole? Depending on what material your pole is made of, it might be an easy fix! Just curious, what’s your flag pole made of?

It’s a twenty foot aluminum pole.
