Hey everyone! I'm looking for some help with a DIY project. I have a light-up cosplay prop that looks like a hand, which I made from polystyrene foam. I'd love to hang it on my wall, but there's a thick layer of putty—about 2 centimeters—on it, topped with wallpaper. The hand has a rough surface, so I've struggled with double-sided tape as it keeps falling off. I want to avoid drilling into the wall since I'm confident it could be held with something less invasive, and honestly, I don't have a drill. Have you thought about using Command strips? They’re pretty great for hanging lightweight stuff without damaging your walls. Just make sure to pick the right size for your prop!
You might want to check out Blu Tack or Loctite Fun Tak. They're both good for sticking lightweight items to walls and can handle some roughness on the surface. Give those a try!
